The long-awaited BKK trip from 20th to 24th June '10 (: heh, was feeling unsettled because when I went to HK in March, I imagined myself to come back with bags of new clothes but I was so disappointed with my loots :(
*I forget to add that I wanna stay there forever because buy 2 fraps and you get a free one, of any size! I bought a venti and a tall caramel frap each and got a grande for free~ omg. 3 caramel frap for just less than $10 leh!!! Well, I don't know about the promotion cause I didn't see any sign but one thing for sure, all the barrister of Starbucks around seems to be really friendly and approachable ^^
Day 1
Departure hall~
Had Burger King for breakfast... and sigh, couldn't finish them. I remember I thought I was very very hungry... turned out I was just thirsty -,-
In transit with my cousin, Felicia (:
Now with both Regine and Felicia. I miss LX3 now... gosh, I should really get one for myself.
With Grandma. Pardon my evil eyes early in the morning :(
With God-mum (:
wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee, we were in the plane already!
Upon reaching, we looked out for a man holding the name EG because they don't know how to spell Regine. He was nice as he's early and helpful. It was just nice. 9 of us in the 10 seaters car.
sunnier than sunny island, Singapore ^^
Outside our hotel: Citin Pratunam Bangkok. Not bad leh, got complimentary breakfast every morning and free internet access! The service very good also! A lot better than the hotel I stay in Hong Kong... I think the Macau Casa Real also not bad :)
Our toilet.
Does my brother really look like my boyf here? O.o
Yay, the good ol' Coke bottle!
Took tuktuk!
Seriously love tuktuk! Look, we are going against the traffic! hahahaa. perpendicular some more -,-
Went to Chatuchak weekend market since it was a Sunday, the only day we could possibly visit it during our stay there. hehehe, love the fried quail eggs! I know, I know, high cholesterol level but it is really very nice! The one from Platinum mall's food court sucks though... :/
Mad hot that day. It is that kinda burning into your skin kinda heat :( that was the hottest day throughout the short 5 days stay there.
The tuktuk we took (always the same guy and his any other friend) cost only 30baht per trip per tuktuk! freaking cheap can! Slightly more than $1 only. *faint*
Didn't finish exploring Chatuchak and we left cause the heat was really unbearable. Initially, I still thought the things there quite cheap already. I bought a 350baht green shoes, a 200baht top and a few accessories there. I thought 200baht for that top very cheap already... until I went to Pratunam market. Freaking 60baht!!!> :( lucky I only got 1 from Chatuchak ^^
So we went back to hotel to wash up and change first!
Neh, this is the 200baht top!
Had dinner at Platinum mall and got within that short 30 min, Regine and I chiong-ed our way to the shops and get ourselves 2 pair of shoes and 2 bags each ^^ Well, the place is very organised cause each level sell different things... basement for guys (poor things), level 1 like lingerie or smth, then the rest all shoes, bags, accessories, shoes, bags, accessories and more~ Seriously, omg.
Fav shoes.
I can't find this in Singapore. No more cookies & cream for Hershey's :( One for 15baht only leh! less than $1! hahaha.
Whoops, unglam pic of my bro. Well, this is for sleeping early on day 1 and not accompany me to Family Mart downstairs to grab some snacks. hiakhiak.
Day 2
HEHEHE. The official day 1 of shopping @ morning Pratunam market and Platinum mall :) hehehe. I adore Pratunam market to the very maximum!
Neh, this shop made me happy and angry at the same time. Angry cause I bought the same pattern but different design for 200baht. Happy cause I can buy a lot for my lovelies ((:
This is the shop right at the corner after coming turning left from my hotel but I never went in. not even once. boohoo.
You know how the whole wholesale concept works? and I think it is pretty dumb to get 2 instead of 3! Most or practically, ALL of the items there will be cheaper if you get 3. Some can mix and match while some must be the same.
Like Regine and I wanted a slightly mid-waist jeans and it cost 250baht each... that's 500baht in total. after paying, Felicia wanted one too so it becomes 130baht each = 390baht in total and we got money refunded! omg... cheap like mad. 250baht is like $11 and 130baht is like... $6! hehehe. so happy! we got blazers this way too ^^

On the way to Platinum mall from Pratunam market...
Seriously, we couldn't finish combing the 2 places day after day :(

Almost wanted to get myself one of those sticks which are hairbands... cool but like not practical. So proud of myself for not being impulsive then ^^

cap, anyone?

Fav lunch!!! It was sold out when I wanted to get it for dinner on Day 2! mad sad :( Seriously nice!!! (Y)
$10 for 5 manicures! hahaha. I miss my strawberry nails :(
In the process of drawing the berries (:
Done!
The manicurist got a world cup fever.
A&W at IT city or something... I love the burger but not the fries!
IT city is where I got Jo's cover and also Xf's... hahaha. I thought she using BB 9000 but it isn't. sowwie :( I didn't see any color that I like there... heng ah, MBK ftw.
Failed cup noodle... is cup porridge. Quite nice though ;)
I thought Singapore don't have so cute, so mini ones until last week, I went to the provision shop at my market and saw it! zomg.. but 4 super mini $2.20 leh, so expensive. It's only $1 for 4 there... awwww, I miss BKK :(
But their milo powder really powderful. alot richer and nicer than Singapore's! *screams
And our basin got invaded by ants... LOL. forget to take pictures of the ants. Their ants a whole lot larger than singapore's mini little dot-like ants. (as in the usual ones lar) I think is my bro's coke that attracted them?
And all I was amazed with was still my strawberry nails~
Day 3
Pratunam market again, MBK then night market... oh, a little of the night market near Siam Paragon cause it started to rain rather heavily without any warning beforehand and we saw how flood situation was like in BKK.
heh, outfit for the day. specs cause I had eye irritation -,-
The desktops available for use at the lobby.
MBK~ hahahaaa. same movies as the ones playing in Singapore at that time (:
AND I LOVE THEIR KFC!!! THE WHIPPED POTATO AND POPCORN CHICKEN LIKE SHIOK ONLY!!! how come S'pore KFC's whipped potato so nua nua one... >D:
Awwwww, I've got a sweet tooth.
1st crepe there. shiok leh! :D
And I saw my boyboy Nickhun in BKK!!
We are tourists after all...
I don't think this is traffic jam leh. Cause our traffic stop for like 30sec but theirs like 60 or 90s...?
Poor Zen World, victim of the bomb.
Hospital.
Will my prayers be answered? :/
Went to Siam Paragon after praying and then I went to get this!!! Cinnamon pretzel from Auntie Anne! I didn't know she went to BKK too~ hahaha -,- Seriously dope. Unlike the one I had from Plaza Sg's basement last Thursday... sigh.
Walk until tired... omg, I was carrying tiff&co bag. hahaha.

We thought this Ronald McDonald looked funny.
Went for thai massage at 300baht for 1 hour and omg... seriously felt like we went to hook some prostitutes! being under that kinda lighting, having to change into the robes... so weird so weird! And when she pressed into my inner thighs, it was really damn itchy!!! I kept laughing until she asked me if it was my first time -,- so obvious meh? :(
The sun had set by the time we came out...
Somewhere 30m from here is where I got myself 3 rings. It was like a mini night market ^^
see, 53 seconds!
Hmm. We went to another night market.. which I really don't know the name -,- and it is where I got my 150baht = $6.50 formal wear. hehehe. mad comfy though it is abit translucent ^^ and it is where all the good street market food are (:
We had to find shelter in this restaurant because it was really pouring like mad outside. Hmm. Will you believe me if I say I got fishballs stuffed in my cheeks? because I won't :(
MINE MINE MINE! Damn nice leh! but I forgot the name -,-
Tried changing parting... too bored> :O
Finding my rings for a peeka.
Chui day~ but still happy ^^
how the flood was... to our surprise, the people there doesn't seems surprised at all! maybe it is a common sight there? I think the stall vendors at the night market damn poor thing. I wonder how they cleared their goods in time leh... neh, we didn't went floating market so here it was, floating market for us. Fyi, it is so much deeper than how it look like from the pic!
But thanks to the flood, we got to explore another way of transportation (:
See, they automatically queue in a single file one leh.. wle, felt so ashamed for S'pore cause push and tug seems to be a common sight here> D:
I shall not change my phone, I am crazy but I got lots of cover! love the blings one ^^ hehehe. I am still very much in love with the current yellow one though. Ps, I love my BB (:
Pyjamas~ same as HK trip, lol.
THIS IS DOPE! Seriously... omgomg, I should have dabao-ed lots of them back leh.
Shiok. everything so shiok! and that is Lay, not Lays... and is seaweed, not sour cream and onion. heh.
Day 4
Pratunam market again to place order for some bottoms and tops... will never get sick of that place ((: before heading to Chinatown... which wasn't really open that day (heard that it is more happening at night and on certain days of the week) So we went MBK again!
Outfit for the day:
I hope it was water retention at work.
Tuktuk-ed through Chinatown. I'd very much like to try the bird nest :3
I think Regine's hair actually look good being tied like this!
Fav tuktuk uncle! He gave us his contact no. so he's like our personal tuktuk chauffeur ^^ He's really honest and always punctual... sigh. Life seems kinda hard for them :(
Joke leh! Starbags with the starbucks logo... hahaha. Taken @ MBK!
We went to the night market which we didn't finish exploring the day before due to the heavy downpour and on our way back to hotel, we found this shop that sells really cheap nail polish! This is like our OPI, all the manicure shops uses this.. except for 1 atas one in Siam Paragon using OPI. hahaa.
I think they are like $0.80 each?
Day 5
Sad day. both our families used up all our cash (baht and sgd) and it was then where we discovered a corner of Platinum mall that we never walked before!!! lots of 100baht to 150 baht shit> :( I swear I must get my ass back in BKK again soon!!! pleaseeeeeeeee. I wish attachment starts on the week of 20th sep and not 13th sep so that BKK will become possible~
Funny enough but the karang guni bag is what I cared about the most. ALL MY LOOTS LEH~ don't play play. Ok lar, most of my loots only ^^ the shoes are all in another bag.. same goes to the bags. Wah, I only got 5 bags :(
Chui day.
Saw Junior at KFC! hahahaa. I was really stunned and I think he was too.
2nd crepe! I like~ Banana & strawberry (Y) whipped cream (N)
Yay, got a leg bracelet for myself as well as a necklace! 20baht each, that's less than $1 for you :) I forget to get 1 more for friend... since I had 20baht in excess with me then.
This is the 500baht watch box I got from Platinum mall top level. Hahaha. I know I've got 2 striking watch but they are both so cute. 1 is a gift from Grace and another is from Jo chin gu~ (L) All got stories one. Like the most top left hand one is the new watch I got from Thailand! it is bracelet-like watch and it cost $2 ^^ Then got 1 i got for myself @ Mustafa... my mum got me one... 0809 got me one too.. hahaa. I can have 3 more watches!

My fav word got to be khorb koon kaa! (it means thank you)
Looking back at the Hong Kong trip makes me miss the place too... the cold weather, the company, egg tarts and maybe... the casinos in Macau? hehehe ^^
There is something about me that when life gets slightly over than better, I feel unsettled... it's that feeling that maybe it will take something away from me too. hahaha. This year is good because I traveled~ (: and I gonna go Batam during the national day holidays with my father's side family.
Then again, I look forward to trips with my friends! any trips! road trip to Malaysia, sunway lagoon, KL, just anywhere out of S'pore. not that I am so desperate to get out of S'pore but I'd really love to travel since we are still young now. BKK again or explore Taiwan... or those beach resorts like bintan or pulau anything. I'd love to travel if I have the capability... yay, damn motivated to save money during attachment for lots of graduation trips! ^^ but the thing about trips is that it usually dies off after talking about it because nobody actually want to plan... D: I want to go pulau ubin too though technically, it isn't getting out of Singapore but got the feel leh. Durians & cycling!!! (Y)Oh, god didn't take anything from me but gave me something instead. omg, HOW GREAT. fats. thanks so much. I need to run :(
